My potted strawberries aren't doing as well as I would have liked. I think I'll transplant them to the community plot in a week or two.
We did end up getting a few strawberries in April.
They were tiny but very sweet.

I've tried strawberry jars down here and just never have much luck either. Not sure what the secret is. I seem some people's jars that are COVERED in strawberries...
ReplyDeleteI have tried the strawberry pots but we are always too hot. The poor plants just bake. Maybe I can find a different use for the two pots sitting in storage.

ReplyDeleteAnd your berries were early. Mine still haven't ripened even my early berries. I usually think of June as berry season, but I keep wondering if it will be in May because of the warm weather early on.
