A Happy Day
It's done! Today, the great state of Massachusetts officially made us parents. Jonathan even got to sign a decree agreeing to adopt Marc and I as his parents. I hope he's ready for this kind of responsibility!
These past 11 months have been the most rewarding and challenging of my life. It's been quite a journey getting to this point. Here's to new beginnings!

Woohoo!!!! Congratulations. I know I've said before, but as an adoptee, myself, I commend you both. Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! May you always fondly cherish your memories through the years - including the teen years ;-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! It's a wonderful world, or it's getting there. How about D.C. today? Jonathan is a lucky boy. May you enjoy every moment of your lives together.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome Thomas... congrats!
ReplyDeleteWell that is good news! Congratulations papa :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!! Happy family birthday! I think Mexico city legalizes marriage and adoption tomorrow too (day after washington). Yeah, rights!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...how cute is he?! I love the festive paperwork and that they included him in the process. What a little sweetie..and a cute sweater vest, to boot! Congratulations to you and Marc...what a blessing.
ReplyDeleteWonderful. Congrats
ReplyDeleteWow, Congrats Thomas! It's great that your son ;-) was included in the process too.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteYou bring happy tears to my eyes. You, Marc and little Jonathan are three very lucky people. You all have each other to love. :-D
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Congratulations, I'm happy for the three of you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a joyous day! Congratulations to the three of you.
ReplyDeleteI add my congratulations to all the rest - what a wonderful day. I think the families we create for ourselves are the best kind of families. Any two people who have to work so hard to become fathers are going to be great fathers indeed.
ReplyDeleteIt is a happy day for all of you. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteIn Croatia adoption is a somewhat of a problem, as legal framework is giving more rights to birth parents, making adoptions difficult, even if child is not living with birth parents...
So we end up with children living in centers without a possibility of adoption and at the age of 18 they are on their own... It’s a poor picture.
I wish you and Marc all the luck in parenthood!
What wonderful news! Congrats, Thomas!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Have fun with your little man.
ReplyDeleteWhoo Hoo! What a great day! I just know that Jonathan will raise you and Marc up right and you will all live happily ever after!
ReplyDeleteHooray! Never thought I'd say this, but yay for Massachusetts for leading the way. Congrats to all 3 of you, and enjoy the wonder years, for the teenage years will surely make you wonder.

I wish you the best of times and patience for the worst of times and the knowledge that you will all have each other for the rest of time. Thank you all for letting us share in your life.
