December Snow

December Snow
I guess it was bound to happen. The drive home from work tonight was anything but smooth. It's during these times that I wish I lived in say...San Francisco, where it's never too hot and never too cold. All in all, it could have been worse. We should only get about 3 to 5 inches from this one.

I guess I shouldn't complain too much - the snow should offer additional insulation to the hoop house, especially around the base. Sleep tight everyone!

  1. Neat shot! Love the blowing snow and lighting. Especially like the footprints to the hoop house; nothing like some fresh greens in a snowstorm, eh?

  2. Very pretty, Thomas. Please keep it up north!

    Love the footprints!

  3. The snow has been kind of strange here. An hour or so in every direction has loads of snow and all we have is an inch. I kind of want it to snow already! A white landscape is much better then a brown/grey one.

  4. It is a pretty picture!
I love watching the seasons changing. In the past years we had few warm winters, and there is nothing worse for me than a warm, snow-less winter.

  8. What a beautiful sight! But I have to admit that I prefer to see pretty pictures of snow rather than live with it. Oh, and don't forget your long pants and warm jacket if you visit SF in the summer. :-)

  9. I love the look of the footprints going out and everything else a white blanket.

  10. The snow is sooo beautiful! We are getting none here in south central PA. Waaah!
I want to thank you Thomas, for your delightful blog. I have really enjoyed the journey through your garden and kitchen this year.
I'm looking forward for the Tradition to continue.
    Have a wonderful Holiday Season!

  11. Is thing there anything more cozy than looking at snow from the comfort of a warm house (0r the computer screen inside of a warm house?!)?

While the snow is absolutely beautiful - I am content to view it from here and am glad not to have it in our garden. :D
