You certainly have critter issues! I haven't found any insects that bother the soybeans, only actual animals, birds at the sprout stage for sure. I think a BB gun is in order if it's legal in your county! I would get all camo'd up and spend the night in the garden, but I'm crazy like that LOL! I think your best bet might be to plant a rabbit garden! Maybe if they had basil, chard, greens etc in a little plot they won't bother trying to get into your fence. Wierd, I only have a 3 ft tall split rail fence around my garden with chicken wire and dozens of bunnies that come out every night (they live under my wooden sheds) but I never see any rabbit damage in my garden. They all seem to head to the front yard every evening where they eat whatever clover etc is in my lawn. I'm thinking because they never know when the dogs will be let out the back door? Don't know how you & Marc feel about a dog, but they certainly are critter deterrents, some breeds more than others. I never even have squirrels bother my stuff, if the dogs are inside and they see a squirrel on the fence, one starts crying to be let out and she chases it away. Marley's life mission is to herd squirrels LOL!Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06916896512933101955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4778141609680363377.post-48303284015835767432010-07-15T12:31:42.471-04:002010-07-15T12:31:42.471-04:00Unless your rabbit likes spicy foods, you can try ...Unless your rabbit likes spicy foods, you can try the garlic/pepper spray repellents. With the amount of rodents around here, I don't even try that type of garden, but the repellents were useful for the baby deer that adopted me this spring. They homemade ones need to be sprayed after each rain, but the organic commercial ones last for months. And there is always the coyote urine around the fence line.Shrubshttp://myfloweringshrubs.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4778141609680363377.post-4896824191596058042010-07-15T12:21:53.129-04:002010-07-15T12:21:53.129-04:00It ate a melon?
