We are still eating the ones I dried, froze, canned, etc. But I remember when I was done, I was DONE.
I bought a few fresh tomatoes last week for a recipe, but otherwise haven't bought any since I planted last summer.
I am curious--how do you do your watering in winter? We do all drip lines in summer and fall, but stop before the first freeze. Do you just water by hand, or just let everything fend for itself? Just wondering.Kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03383635329315687176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4778141609680363377.post-58604321513253741842010-03-08T22:15:59.128-05:002010-03-08T22:15:59.128-05:00I think your carrots are beautiful. wish I could ...I think your carrots are beautiful. wish I could trade you for my lettuce and spinach! I am down to just a few of them in the patch and they are looking scruffy - edible but not very photogenic.

The great thing about growing and eating in season - is that you enjoy a particular item in it's season and often end up heartily tired of it by the time it concludes - such that you are really ready for the next item(s) to come into season!
